Duck Cake
In our house, birthdays start with cake for breakfast! - it's our little family's tradition, and one we all look forward to. This year, our youngest turned TWO, and since she's completely Bluey-obsessed, I wanted to make her morning extra special.
Her birthday fell on a weekday, so we knew we wouldn't get a big party set up first thing - but that didn't mean we couldn't bring some birthday magic! With the help of her proud big sister, we made the viral Duck Cake made by his truly, Bandit heeler, now as we all know he had a few hiccups along the way and well... so did we! We had icing everywhere and used every utensil in the draw (to be fair, that's nothing new Hehe) but had a whole lot of fun! And it turned out better than I imagined (definitely a "trust the process" ordeal) Spending the evening creating something with the help of my oldest girl was so special, they are memories that I will always cherish.
The morning turned out to be a success, while she munched away at her special birthday breakfast, Bluey played in the background (because no morning is complete without an episode or three) Dance mode and laughter filled the room. Simple, sweet, and everything a birthday morning should be.
